Vanilla essence: 1 teaspoon

Self- rising flour (sifted)

Milk: ½ cup
1. Making:
Alternative prepare cake line as directed in a novelty cake recipe.
- Beat butter and sugar with electric bitter. Make a smooth cream until pale and fluffy. Flavor with vanilla essence. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Fold the flour in flour with light hand beating. If you feel the mixture is thick, add milk and beat with a soft hand.
- Spoon mixture into the prepared tin and bake for 40-45 minutes or until cooked when tested. Remove from oven. Stand tin for 5 minutes before turning out a wire rack to cool.
